  • Come ride, hang out, and enjoy the good vibes! This isn’t a competition—just a fun evening of bikes, music, and a BBQ with friends.

    📍 Where & When: 4 PM until dark at the Rosemont Bike Park.
    💰 Cost: Just $10 – includes entry, music, BBQ, and all the good vibes. Or $5 for just the BBQ.

    Riders must have an NCC membership.
    👉 Free memberships available for kids under 12 at the event. A parent or guardian must be present to sign a waiver at check-in!

    Not riding? No problem!
    This is an awesome spectator event – bring a lawn chair or find a comfy spot on the grass and enjoy the show.

Friday - September 18th

  • Transform your bike into a rolling masterpiece and join the fun as we parade down Baker Street!

    📍 Where & When: Meet at Hall Street Plaza at 4:30 PM to decorate your bike
    🚲 Parade rolls out down Baker St at 5:30 PM

    Dress up, bring your friends, and help us celebrate our love for bikes in style!

    ✨ Free event – all ages welcome!
    No registration needed, just show up and ride!

    The bike parade morphs into a rave with the West Kootenay Cycling Coalition. Return to Hall St Plaza or ride ‘n rave on down to Fabulous Fridays at Cottonwood Falls Park!

Saturday - September 19th

  • Think you’ve got a winning hand? You’ll have to earn it. The Poker Ride is back for another round of climbing, trail-side games, tunes, and one very important question:

    How high are you willing to go for the best hand?

    The Poker Ride is your chance to chase cards instead of podiums, while discovering (or conquering) some of Nelson’s classic trails. Finish your ascent at the top of Upper Bottoms (margarita bar with live music from local DJ Charlie Holiday!), or push your luck to Highballer for an extra card and a shot at a better hand. Along the way, expect games to keep you movin’ and tunes to keep you groovin’.

    This isn’t a race. It’s a friends-and-family-friendly ride, party, and a little bit of gambling with gravity. Prizes for winning hands and draw prizes will commence after the last ride has finished.

    E bikes welcome! All ages welcome! Kids can get a full hand from station 1.

    🕤 Where & When: Register at 9:30 AM at Morning Mountain
    🚨 Ride starts at 10 AM.
    💰 Cost: $30 per poker hand (ride solo or as a team). ($10 per poker hand for kids going to station 1).

  • Let gravity do the work as you drop into one of Nelson’s most legendary trails – Powerslave – in this classic DH mountain bike race!

    ⚠️ Riders must pre-ride the course – we’ll let you know when it’s taped and ready to roll.

    🕛 Registration: 12 PM at the top of Powerslave.
    🏁 Race Start: 1 PM sharp
    🚗 Carpooling encouraged – limited parking at the trailhead. Bring your road radio!

    💰 Entry: $30

  • Celebrate 30 years of Fat Tire at Backroads Brewing—good beer, good people, and the trails that bring us together.

    We’ll share stories about the original fat tire fest, and 30 years of riding in Nelson.

    🕣 Where & When: Register at 8:30 am at Morning Mountain, races start at 9 am by age group. Includes pedal and run bikes!

    💰Cost: This is a free event thanks to our sponsors. Memberships are required, kids memberships under 12 are free at the event but a parent or guardian must be present to sign the waiver.

  • A test of endurance and skill, riders will tackle multiple downhill stages with untimed uphill segments in between - best combined downhill time wins. E bikes are welcome too!
    Course release coming ~1 week in advance.


    🕙Where & When: Register at 10 am at Morning Mountain. Race briefing at 10:45 am.
    💰Cost: Entry is $30, or enter all 3 gravity events for a shot at the Cam Slam Trophy for $75.
    🏆 Prizegiving will take place after the Chainless race is finished. Expected to be around 4pm.

  • This race is off the chain!! Test your speed and control in this race down RnB!

    How hard can it be?...you don't even have to pedal!


    🕝 Where & When: Register before 2:30 pm at Morning Mountain. The race starts at 3 pm. Volunteers will be on site to remove your chain at the top and deliver it to the bottom.
    💰Cost: Entry is $30, or enter all 3 gravity events for a chance at the Cam Slam Trophy for $75.


    🏆 Prizegiving will take place after the race is finished.
