We’re about halfway through prime trail season! Despite the smoke and dry conditions, the crew continues to tune up trails across the network; clearing blowdown and brush, improving flow, and building bridges to help tackle spring mud issues.

• New bridges on Crowsnest, Boneyard, Very High.

• Tune ups on Upper Hitman, Upper Dole Dosser, Nooner, Washtub, Spacejunk, Upper Bottoms.

• Fine tuning the Sweet and Salty climb with a reroute.

• Bucking and clean up on Doz Slabs, Kokanee Climb Trail, Slabalanche.

• Brushing Middle Earth, Moosehead, Very High, and Mountain Station trails.

• Wildlife sightings have been common across the network this season. Help avoid surprise encounters and give animals space to move away:

  • Avoid trails early in the morning, or late at night when wildlife are most active.

  • Ride/run in groups when possible

  • Carry bear spray and know how to use it

  • Make noise, especially around blind corners

  • Give wildlife plenty of space and the right of way - even if it means turning around.

• Drive slow on trailhead access roads, keep the dust down, and watch for people, pets, and other road users. Please respect that many roads pass through residental property, or neighbourhoods.
